‘Roll out the Barra!’ Music and Song Concert

As part of Scorton Bikes and Barrows Festival, Lancashire Schools Jazz Orchestra (LSJO), will be performing an exciting and diverse range of big band music from Count Basie to Earth, Wind and Fire.

The Cottontown Chorus, six times barbershop champions, will also be performing bringing a repertoire ranging from the Great American Songbook to Classic 60s rock; from James Bond to Miley Cyrus.

Our jazz orchestra is made up of talented young musicians from across the county and this type of concert gives members the chance to work with inspiring leaders and professional tutors, alongside like-minded young people from across Lancashire.

This wonderful concert is part of the Scorton Bikes and Barrows Festival which takes place over May Bank Holiday weekend, 5 – 7 May 2018. Expect to see decorated bicycles and wheelbarrows all around the village as well as a weekend of live re-enactment events, archery, a 2-day music festival, a dog show, Spring and artisan fairs, children’s games and attractions, beer tent, classic cars, military vehicles and lots more! The Bikes and Barrows Festival has plenty to suit all ages and lots to enjoy.
