Family Music Day: Adventures at Sea

A fun filled, interactive afternoon of musical activities and an exciting concert that will take you on an adventure across the sea! Discover different instrument workshops, explore our ‘petting zoo’ getting up close to different instruments and listen to the full orchestra play some exhilarating music.

Workshop and Activities from 11.30am:

Your chance to try an instrument in a relaxed and supportive environment, working with members of the orchestra.
We will aim to have you making a sound and performing a short piece together by the end of the session. No previous experience necessary.

Aimed at ages 5 – 11 years.

Instrument workshops:
• Strings 11.30am
• Brass 11.30am and 12.30pm
• Woodwind 12.30pm

£4 per child per workshop (accompanying adult free).

Instrument petting Zoo: From 12.45pm in LIVE (Guild Hall foyer) come and explore the different instruments of the orchestra – meet the players and get up close to the instruments. Just drop in and explore FREE – no booking required.

Adventures at Sea Concert at 2pm:

Come and hear all of the talented musicians perform an interactive concert aimed at families and introducing young people to orchestral music.

Concert Tickets:
Adult: £7.70 (includes 70p booking fee)

Children & Concessions: £5.50 (includes 50p booking fee)
Family Ticket: £21 (4 people, max 2 adults) (includes £1 booking fee)
