Brass at the Seaside returns for 2020!

This July, in the beautiful setting of Ashton Gardens at Lytham St Anne’s, our annual Brass at the Seaside festival returns!

Along the pier and Ashton Gardens bandstands musicians of all ages will come together to put on a magnificent show of brass on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th July 2020.

Last years festival was formally opened by the Mayor who commented ‘I’m so pleased to see so many young people involved in playing music’.

As well as brass bands there will also be a series of fun and family friendly workshops to give audience members the opportunity to play a musical instrument and find out more about the bands playing during the festival.

The Saturday daytime performances will culminate in an evening concert and on the Sunday the festival will take place at both the pier bandstand and Ashton Gardens bandstand –  an all round for a brilliant show of rousing brass!

Festival Organiser Helen Minshall, Music Director of Lancashire Youth Brass Band and one of the tutors of HONK! Lancashire Youth Street Band said:

“The festival is  a brilliant show of musical talent in brass music playing and it’s always wonderful seeing all the bands come together to perform in the open air, a first for some band members! We’re all already looking forward to this years Brass at the Seaside!”

We hope to see you by the seaside in July!
