Parents: PDP Instrument Return & Collection


We are now in a position to reopen our Warehouse and Instrument service to our Parent Direct Payment (PDP) customers. If your child’s lessons have been arranged and you would like to collect an instrument, or if your child’s lessons have finished and you would like to return your instrument please book an appointment by clicking through to our booking form below.

Guidance for visiting Lancashire Music Service Warehouse:

  • Visits to the warehouse are by appointment only.
  • Please read the guidelines carefully before booking your appointment
  • Do not visit the warehouse if you are self-isolating or showing any symptoms of COVID 19.
  • You must pre-book an appointment. Visits are by appointment only and subject to availability.
  • You should attend the appointment alone wherever possible.

Everyone attending an appointment must wear a face covering. Exemptions to wearing a face covering.

Further Information on returning or collecting instruments:

When are appointments released:

Appointments are released every morning. Slots may become available during the day if appointments are cancelled.

Unable to get an appointment:

We expect appointments to book up quickly. If no appointments are available please try again at another time. The booking system will confirm where appointments are available.

Changing or cancelling your appointment:

Please use the link in your confirmation email to cancel your booking. If you don’t have email you can phone 01257 517127 (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm). 

Visiting the warehouse:

When you visit the warehouse you may be asked to join a queue, please respect social distancing. Please follow guidance from warehouse staff.

Collecting instruments:

Please attend your appointment on time. On arrival at the warehouse you will find reserved parking at the front of the building, once at the warehouse please ring the contact number in your confirmation email and follow guidance from the warehouse staff.

You can collect for yourself and may collect for additional people with their permission, but must attend the appointment alone. 

Exchanging / Returning instruments:

Please attend your appointment on time. On arrival at the warehouse you will find reserved parking at the front of the building, once at the warehouse please ring the contact number in your confirmation email and follow guidance from the warehouse staff.

Any returned instruments will be quarantined for 72 hours before they are checked by the warehouse staff. Due to this we are unfortunately unable to issue a receipt until the instrument has been checked.

 

Warehouse staff:

Please be kind to our warehouse staff. Lancashire County Council operates a zero tolerance policy for aggressive, abusive or threatening behaviour. Action will be taken against anyone who is abusive or aggressive. 

How we are handling our instrument stock:

We are following guidance from Public Health England. We are quarantining returned instruments for 72 hours, staff will be washing their hands regularly and making sure they do this before handling instruments.

Keeping yourself and our staff safe:

Our warehouse is designated as COVID secure and we are following national guidance on safety and cleanliness. Hand sanitiser will be available. Please follow the instructions of the staff to ensure we all stay safe.
