Lancashire Sings are Back for 2024-25!

Would your school like to be involved in singing alongside other young voices in your area? Then have a look at the current Lancashire Sings.

Click here to register your school’s interest in our 2024-25 Lancashire Sings today!

Inspiring the young people of Lancashire to love and enjoy music is the aim of Lancashire Sings.

Lancashire Sings 23/24 reached over 3500 Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils across Lancashire.

The wider benefits of singing are widely known; from enhancing general learning skills in reading and language to contributing to enhanced well-being and developing confidence in our young people. Our Lancashire schools are noticing the long lasting effects of regular, quality singing in their lives.

For a cost of £95 your school will receive;

  • High quality, accessible resources that benefit the whole school for the entire academic year.
  • An in person Teacher CPD and networking event, that will support learning the repertoire, best singing practice in good technique, vocal health and musical understanding.
  • Our Vocal Leader will come to your school to deliver a vocal workshop prior to the performance.
  • A large scale, public performance that develops confidence and stagecraft to create long lasting musical memories and hopefully a lifelong love for singing.

We currently have 5 established Lancashire Sings in Lytham, Preston, Burnley, Lancaster and District and Chorley.

Sign up is now open until Friday the 11th October.

Here’s what people are saying about our Lancashire Sings;

Victoria Harter, Lytham C of E Primary School

“I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and your team for inviting us to take part in the ‘Big Sing’. All the children that we brought went back to school feeling amazing. One of our boys on the way home said ‘I don’t think I have ever felt this happy’. It has made me reflect on the power of singing and what joy it can bring into your soul. We really don’t do enough of it in school, but hopefully we can change that.”

Paul Bowden, Slyne-with-Hest St Luke’s CE Primary School

“It is wonderful to see children from a wide range of schools across our district singing enthusiastically and enjoying the whole experience that this annual event offers. The setting of the Ashton Hall coupled with performing with a band of live musicians provides an experience that they will hopefully remember for many years to come.”

Glyn Gibbons, North Road Community Primary School, Carnforth

“This is such a wonderfully creative way of uniting all the children, across the borough, through the joy of song. Over the years, I’ve seen the confidence in performing and the appreciation of music, developed brilliantly in so many children, who have taken part in this amazing event.”

Joanne Geldard, Lancaster Lane Primary School

“This will probably be my one and only chance in life to sing on stage with a live band… What an absolutely wonderful day that was. Thank you to everyone involved.”

Cate Gili-Ross, St Peters Catholic Primary School, Lytham

“I just wanted to drop you a quick email to say how wonderful yesterday’s Big Sing was. From start to finish it was such a joyful event and to see all the children having such a wonderful time was truly priceless, not to mention how much it helped our wellbeing as teachers. We can’t wait for next year.”

🎷Chorley Wind Progression Event 🎷We had a fantastic time on Monday 15th June making music with flute, saxophone and clarinet players from St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary, St. Gregory’s Catholic Primary, and St. James’ CE Primary School 🎶Thank you to St. Jospeh’s for hosting us. It was brilliant to hear such confident playing, and to see some of our young musicians from Inspire Ensemble playing some solos!#wherewillmusictakeyou ... See MoreSee Less
