Hallé for Youth 2018 – Back to Nature

6 – 9 March 2018

This year’s series of Hallé for Youth concerts goes Back to Nature’, exploring the planet’s ecosystems and wildlife through the sounds of an orchestra! The programme, featuring several works from the BBC’s Ten Pieces project, will guide us through the Scandinavian tundra, the African savannah, the expansive oceans and even some extra-terrestrial forests.

The Hallé for youth concerts are aimed at both KS2 and KS3 children.

Highlights of this year’s concerts will include the usual ‘scratch and sniff’ cards, provided by Hallé diamond partner PZ Cussons, to let your senses guide our imaginations around the world. There will also be an appearance from the famous Halléoojamaflipaphone performing with the orchestra as you’ve never heard before!

There is the seasoned guide through the wilderness will be the inimitable Tom Redmond, and  Johann Stuckenbruck will conduct the series. There also talented soloists from the Royal Northern College of Music as well as students from the Foundation Degree in Media Production at Sheffield College who will be capturing close-up views of the orchestra to display throughout the concert.
