Our annual conference returns this year on Wednesday 15th April 2026 at Media Factory, University of Lancashire, Preston.
We are very lucky to be joined by Chief HMI for Music Chris Stevens, who has kindly agreed to present via Zoom on Assessment in Music, which is a very common source of frustration and questions for Heads of Music.
The afternoon session will give you a chance to experience the facilities in the University Media Factory including the Foley Studio, Green Screen Room, Recording Studio, Cinema Room, TV Studio and more. These can be booked for use by schools as a means of introducing your pupils to the career paths available in Media and Recording.
The cost of this is £65 per delegate for Lancashire and Blackpool Schools, and £75 for non Lancashire Schools, with the added bonus that your headteacher or other colleague will be invited to remotely attend the morning Zoom session with Chris Stevens. Lunch and refreshments are included, and this is a brilliant chance to network with other Heads of Music.
