This course is an introduction to Digital Audio Workstations (DAW’s) on iPads and/or Laptops with a focus on Garage Band on iPads and VIP Studios Sessions on Laptops.
The main focus will be on using the software for music teaching and for leading sessions, covering:
- Launching the applications
- Description of the buttons and controls
- How to use loops
- How to use external MIDI controllers (keyboards)
- Audio Interfaces – what are they and how to use them
- MIDI inputting and ‘playing in’ pieces
