Bring Chinese music and culture into your school with More Music’s bespoke workshops
More Music can provide bespoke music making workshops for your pupils that are high quality, fully participatory and a hands on experience for your pupils, regardless of age or ability.
Usually these workshops start with an assembly performance, followed by several hour-long workshops throughout the day, leading to a larger group performance later. However all workshops are tailored to your requirements.
The Chinese workshops draw on More Music’s relationship with the Chinese community in Morecambe and work done in China. They now have an even wider set of workshops for schools that have been developed with Chinese musicians, covering:
- Chinese Drumming
- Dragon Dancing
- Chinese Music Making
- Chinese Singing
- Chinese Dance
- Chinese Art
The immersive sessions introduce diversity and cultural awareness, and are very popular around the time of Chinese New Year. However, they can be delivered at any time of the year.
