Brass at the Seaside is back for 2024!

The ever popular Brass at the Seaside Festival will return to Lytham St Anne’s this July for the 5th time, this year with the addition of a Schools Day for the first time!

The popular festival which brings brass bands together from all over Lancashire and Yorkshire will take place on Friday 12th, Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July
On Friday 12th July children from six primary schools will come together at the Lowther Pavillion for a day of music making, sponsored by Brass Bands England and Fylde Council.
St Anne’s Bandstand will be alive with music non-stop, all day, Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th July, from 10am – 6pm. On Saturday evening there will be a Gala Concert at St Thomas Church featuring the incredible Lancashire Youth Brass Band and special guests St Helens Youth Brass Band.
We are very grateful to our sponsors Warwick Music, The British Bandsman and 4Bars Rest for their generous support in funding the 3 day festival.

Brass at the Seaside Bandstand performances cancelled.Gala Concerts to Go Ahead Despite Cancellation of St Anne's Brass at the Seaside Bandstand Performances.Lancashire Music Service has confirmed that this weekend's Gala Concerts at AKS Lytham, will go ahead as planned, despite the cancellation of the outdoor Brass at the Seaside bandstand performances. The decision to cancel the outdoor bandstand performances has been made due to emergency repairs at the St Anne's bandstand affecting the performance arrangements. However, audiences can still look forward to two Gala Concerts at AKS Lytham: 7pm, Friday 10th July sees the Lancashire Youth Brass Band Gala Concert and at 2pm, Saturday 11th July the Lancashire Schools Brass Band, Lancashire County Concert Bands and the Lancashire Schools Jazz Orchestra. The concerts will showcase some of Lancashire's finest young musicians, the programme includes a wide variety of music, from film favourites and contemporary concert works to jazz and big band classics.A particular highlight will be the combined ensemble performances, bringing together musicians from across the county in a spectacular finale celebrating the talent, commitment and achievements of Lancashire's young performers.A spokesperson for Lancashire Music Service said:"While we are disappointed that the Brass at the Seaside bandstand performances can no longer take place, we are delighted that the Gala Concerts will be going ahead. We look forward to welcoming audiences for an afternoon of outstanding music-making and celebrating the achievements of our young musicians from across Lancashire."#WhereWillMusicTakeYou ...
