Playground Proms will be running a twilight CPD session next week in your area for staff who would like to explore more about Dalcroze and how children can benefit from it.
Tuesday 5th May, 4pm Baines Endowed Primary Academy, Penrose Avenue, Marton, Blackpool, Lancashire, FY4 4DJ
Teachers attending the Playground Proms Twilight CPD session will come away with practical experience of adaptable music and movement exercises and games to use with primary classes.
Aims
- To engage teachers in enjoyable music and movement activities
- To inspire teachers to incorporate music and movement into their classrooms
- To increase confidence in and build on their musical skills
Objectives
- Through experiencing music and movement activities, to give participants an embodied knowledge of some fundamental musical skills
- To show how to adapt exercises for different ages and stages and encourage creativity
- To show how music and movement activities link to other curriculum areas (music is integral not separate)
