Get involved with the very first Preston Schools’ Gig Night to celebrate some of Preston’s future music stars.
We have the opportunity for 8 acts to perform live at “The Boatyard”, The Continental’s event space, on Thursday 10th November and we want to hear from schools in Preston and South Ribble who would like to nominate a band or collective.
We’d like to feature groups performing rock, pop, hip-hop, electronic or related genres, either original music or covers.
There can be between 2 and 6 performers in the group (stage size is 5m x 3m). It’s up to you how you select your band – it could be a pupil led band or a curriculum group. You could also run an audition process in school to choose your act.
Each of the groups performing on the night will have a playthrough and soundcheck in the afternoon, and will also have the opportunity for a Q&A session with one of our music industry mentors.
Groups will need to be accompanied by school staff. You will need to arrange travel to the Continental. Back line instruments and PA will be provided.
With limited spaces available, it will be on a first come, first served basis.
