School choirs invited to perform with Lancashire Music Service at the Bridgewater Hall!

Lancashire Music Service is thrilled to announce a spectacular concert, ‘Where will music take you?’ at the prestigious Bridgewater Hall in Manchester and we would like to create a schools choir of 250 young people from Lancashire. This unique opportunity is designed to inspire and engage students through the power of live music and give a once in lifetime opportunity to perform in one of the UK’s premier concert halls.

Date: Monday 29th June 2026
Location: Bridgewater Hall, Manchester

Key Information:

  • Performances: Join forces with talented young musicians from across Lancashire and our very own County Ensembles.
  • Rehearsals: A resource pack will be put together to support schools learning the songs for the event, you will receive an in school workshop from our choral director and information and templates to support your internal communications around the event, there will also be compulsory massed rehearsals on Sunday 21st June, Saturday 27th June and Sunday 28th June 2026, venue and timings TBC
  • Who can be involved in the choir: As a fully inclusive and accessible event, any young person in Year 5 to Year 13 as of the 1st September 2025 with a maximum of 30 per school in the first instance
  • Cost: The event will be free to take part and we are currently exploring revenue streams to support up to 50% of travel costs

How to Register: Schools interested in attending this exciting event can sign up on a first come, first serve basis by completing this form by Friday 19th September 2025. Early registration is encouraged as spaces are limited.
