When The Wellerman (Sea Shanty) became the next big thing on Tik Tok, Lancashire SEND teachers knew it would be a joy to sing and record with their pupils.

Chris Bridges, Music Teacher at Ridgewood School and Chair of the LMH SEND Music Teacher Forum, worked with the pupils to produce their version of The Wellerman:
“Its great when we see a music trend on social media and we can use that to really engage pupils in their own music making. The Wellerman was such a popular topic and multi faceted in that we could produce artwork to accompany the music version we put together. We’d love to hear from other SEND schools from Lancashire who doing music work like this, or want to but don’t know where to start – we can help share experiences and good practice, as well as sharing the brilliant work with other SEND schools”
