Thumbjam is the go-to app for using the iPad as a live melody instrument.It is especially effective for pupils with more complex cognitive and physical needs.
Opening Garageband is like walking into a recording studio: you can play, record and layer instruments, manipulate samples, record vocals and add effects, and even employ ‘session musician’ drummers to create backing tracks for musical ideas.
Loopseque allows pupils to sequence, arrange and record musical patterns quickly and intuitively. Perhaps more than anything else in the library, it balances instant engagement with depth of musical learning.
Launchpad presents sets of vocal and instrumental loops that pupils can combine to make complete arrangements. The app’s strength lies in the quality and authenticity of its sound sets that cover a variety of genres.
